Can you believe we have been here for a whole month? Time has flown by and with every week, we are diving deeper into life here in Utah.
A mid-week lunch date to Cliffside Restaurant gave us a front row seat to one of the most beautiful views of Saint George and the surrounding Redrock Mountains. The food was good but the view was unbeatable!
The weekend brought us a lot of fun and laughter! Being a full-time RVer, I try to participate in the local activities as much as possible.
When the Hospital put fliers up for the Hospital Pumpkin Decorating Contest and Fall Festival, I knew I had to participate! I wanted to represent not only myself as a Travel Nurse, but also the Unit I am currently working with. If you don’t know, I am a Proud Endoscopy Nurse and thrive on “Butts and Gutts” nursing! Colonoscopies are my bread and butter and poking fun at my less than glamorous job couldn’t be more perfect for my pumpkin decorating theme!
Squirt and my vision came to life and I can not wait to enter him in the “Funniest” category come Monday!
After a full day of laughing and building Squirt, we finished out our weekend by heading back to Zion NP, but this time it would be different. I have always said that the view from a bicycle is like no other.
Being on a bicycle gives you a new respect for the beauty around you. The feel of the wind, the grade of the hills, and the sound of the rushing river reminds you that you are but a guest in this place. The land owes you nothing, but you owe this land endless respect and admiration!
As the weather turns colder, the valley has begun to shimmer in Gold and this crazy Travel Nurse Adventure is quickly becoming Priceless!
Week 5 is just around the corner and The Tour de Saint George along with it!
