This week started out difficult. With Chris leaving to go back to Georgia and an incident at the RV resort that highlighted the worst of RV living, Watson and I found ourselves spending our evenings exploring the Red Cliff Desert Reserve.
The Red Cliff Desert is beautiful and full of endless trails and hikes! Watson’s sense of adventure and exploration came alive as we followed trail after trail that led us closer and closer to nowhere!
When Chris came home Saturday, life went back to normal and our epic hike for the week was the most challenging to date!
Following cairns as trail markers, we were led through a beautiful valley to the base of the Camel back Ridge. The trail then turned north where we were led up the side of the ridge and then to the top.
Once we were on top, the multiple vortex formations stole the show! One vortex mesmerized with its width and the other, its depth. These formations were created by millions of years of water erosion but today, they were as dry as the surrounding desert!
This coming week will mark the halfway point in this Travel Nurse Contract! In the past 6 weeks, we have already seen and done some amazing things but I know that the best is yet to come!
