Walking in Dinosaur footsteps, literally! Wednesday, we set out once again to try to find the elusive dinosaur tracks on the Dino Cliff Trail. This trail head is only minutes from our house on wheels and takes us through the Red Cliff Preserve. The sandy dry river beds and the lush desert foliage against the Red Cliff backdrop makes for the perfect place to get a little fresh air! And this time out, we found them!
There was no denying that this was a dino track once you saw it!
And once you found your first dino track, you could literally follow in their footsteps!
The dusty river bed hid some of the details, but it was amazing to experience the Dinosaurs size by straining my legs to their limits as I tried to reach the next track! Something so simple takes your imagination to another time when this river bed was filled with water and Dinosaurs ruled this land.
Once the weekend finally arrived, our adventures took us to yet another National Park that is more fairytale than real life.
Bryce Canyon National Park. I can not even begin to describe the awe inspiring views once you reach the canyons edge. At Zion National Park, you look up and are bewildered and amazed of how this land came to be, but at Bryce Canyon National Park, you look down.
Hoodoos fill the Canyon floor and the colors of the sandstone set this land ablaze.
As we exited the Sunset Rim and started the decent into the Canyon, the magnitude of these formations really took shape.
Around every turn, through the nearly 4 mile trail, we were reminded of how impossible this all seems.
After our hike on the Navajo and Queens Garden loop trail, this mythical land had one last surprise for us before we headed home.
The Natural Bridge.
Keep following along, I have 5 weeks worth of adventures left in Utah before I begin my journey home!
