It has been a really long week. After falling severely ill Wednesday night with either food poisoning or a stomach virus, the rest of this week has been a miserable effort to just get through.
We did make it to Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada, however, I quickly realized that my continued illness and severe lack of energy would not allow me to travel far from the truck. Our hiking day turned into a driving tour and it did not disappoint!
The landscape changed in a heart beat. As you left one bend in the road and entered another, you were seemingly transported to another world. The colors of the rocks took center stage and the transitions between colors was dramatic!
We even had our first glimpse at the local wildlife.
Driving this park only gave us a glimpse of what it has to offer! We have already made plans to return to this park and hike the preplanned trails before we leave for home!
