Now that the Barn is up and the Imagine has moved in, our first project was to get power to the barn and the rig. Because the power company will take a few weeks to months to get official power to us, we decided to pull a power line from an existing building on the land that is not in use. It was a good plan…. until we made a mistake.
It is hard to explain how quickly and often things go wrong when living in an RV. After every day towing, I cringe wondering what broke this time.
Knowing that this mistake was preventable and caused major damage to our rig is heartbreaking but we don’t have time to sulk and be angry. So tomorrow we fix the damage to the Rig, then we fix the mistake we made that caused the damage in the first place. This time, we will add a surge protector between the Imagine and the power source!
Learning from mistakes and keeping an “I can fix this” attitude is essential to RV Living. Things are going to break and we will make mistakes but the good news is that we are getting really good at fixing things!
Fingers crossed that this latest damage is repairable!
