Another week has come and gone. As I continue to recover from my mystery virus, I can’t help but start to day dream about my next great adventure. Although my plans for a fall road trip are already in the works, I am constantly reminding myself that there are still a few things left here in Augusta that I need to do before I head back home to Texas.
Most importantly, I need to finish my last 5 weeks of work! Don’t laugh, but Yes, a countdown has begun. I have 20 more working days before I can mark Contract #4 off my list. I will also be renewing my ACLS certification while I am here on location. Being able to complete this required certification before I head home is incredibly helpful and takes a little stress out of the renewal process.
After spending my day off this week completing the online portion of the ACLS requirements, I was desperate to get out of the house this weekend!
With my hubby and Watson with me, we headed back to the Augusta Canal to see the sites on foot.
The Augusta Canal was just as mesmerizing the second time around and still leaves me in complete fascination of how it has stood the test of time. The Spanish moss hung low off the trees and framed a piece of history. I can’t help but think about the men who built this engineering marvel and the lives it has touched since then.
There is something special about this place and it is by far my most favorite spot in Augusta, GA.
Keep following along as I finish out my last 5 weeks. Travel nursing is nothing less than one grand adventure!
