Week 12, Week 12…. On one hand, I can’t figure out where the time has gone. On the other, these last few weeks are taking forever!
I am truly exhausted! As I get closer to my final week here in Augusta, time is slowing down. My days are getting endlessly longer and busier. From start to finish, I am running all day just to keep my head above water. After only 3 weeks, these 48 hour work weeks are beginning to push me to my breaking point.
This blog is late being posted because I literally slept all day yesterday and had no energy to even type my thoughts from this week.
With all this being said, I was offered an extension here in Augusta. A contract extension is just that. I was being asked to stay and sign another 13 weeks of service to this hospital. The catch, they required me to continue my 48 hour work weeks until further notice. For a second, I was considering the offer until I realized what they were asking of me. I am ready for a break, I am ready to go home, and I am ready for a change.
I declined the offer and next week is my last week here in Augusta. The trip home is being planned and my excitement of finishing my 4th Travel Nurse contract has energized me enough to push me through one last 48 hour work week!
Keep following along as I finish out this contract and begin the journey home! I have no idea where I will head next but no matter where I am, it will always be one grand adventure!
