This week, plans were made to continue adding electrical to the barn in preparation for the addition of a hot water heater in my workshop. While we are adding electrical for the hot water heater, we also decided to add an outdoor socket in the carport. This socket will allow us to hook the car up to a trickle charger and prevent dead batteries upon our return home after a long contract. Ask me how I know we need this….
With the electrical runs now planned, next week, we will get to work pulling wires and watching out plans become reality.
(Oh, and speaking of hot water heaters, the RV hot water heater is on the fritz. More to come on this later!!)
With the constant rain this week, the tractor restoration are on hold but my dad decided to help me with another project. Finding an antique door made of barn wood. This door is to be used as a prop for a photo that I am trying to achieve for a friend and seems to be impossible to find, but that didn’t stop my dad and myself from going on a little back roads Texas adventure.
It is amazing what you can find hidden in the trees just steps from the road. A glimpse of the past and my fascination with how buildings stand the test of time was intrigued that much more.
We still haven’t found “that” door, but the hunt was a fun day spend with my Dad!
This week, we also celebrated my Mom’s birthday. Who doesn’t like a family road trip to a plant nursery?
Keep following along as I continue my life on The Farm, The Barn, and RV Living! Every week is sure to hold a little bit of adventure.
