Since returning home from Travel Nurse Contract #4, we have not taken the time to get out and spend the day together exploring and discovering new places. It was about time we took a day to do just that!
Waco, Tx. Home of the super popular “Fixer Upper” show but more importantly, a must go to bakery!
I recommend the Nutty Cinnamon roll or if your wanting something a little less indulgent, try the Cranberry Orange Biscuit. Yes, its a buttery flakey biscuit with cranberry orange! Sounds odd but oddly delicious!
Next we went to a local bicycle shop, Bear Mountain Outdoors! It is no secret that we have definitely picked back up on our bicycling addiction but with no local bike shops near us, we couldn’t pass up an opportunity to go. It had been YEARS since we last stepped foot into a real bike shop!
And after all that fun, we found ourselves scoping out RVs. Now, before you get any crazy ideas, The Imagine is not going anywhere any time soon but we like to look at future options. Buying an RV is just like buying a home and I, for one, can not decide on what I like and dislike about a rig without seeing it in person. Seeing the layouts and feeling the space in person makes a hugely different impact than only seeing it on Youtube or through brochures. We have always planned on buying a more “long term rig” if we enjoyed RV life and decided to keep at it, so planning for that future now is only natural. Most rigs that we are considering are hard to find in person, but we decided to go hunting anyways. We did not find “THE” rig that immediately felt like home, but we got a better idea of what we felt we wanted and what we needed out of our next RV. The Imagine is staying put for at least another year, but it is still fun to look!
It was an awkwardly weird feeling stepping back into The Imagine after a day in larger, more high end rigs. I am home in The Imagine, and despite the broken kitchen faucet, the missing skirting from the tire blowout, and the dings and chips on what feels like every single surface… Those bigger, fancier rigs just can not compete with home. But, I have decided its time to fix the faucet! So stay tuned as I give The Imagine a super expensive upgrade! (Why are kitchen faucets so dang expensive)
