Spending Christmas in New Mexico is a bitter sweet celebration. Although we miss our family back home, we are so grateful for the opportunity to be able to live and travel to new places!
This Christmas, we did what we do best! Hike, explore, and play disc golf!
Our hike took us 4 miles around the Farmington Lake Trail. The waters edge was frozen over and was a captivating site. Some areas were solid enough to hold Watsons weight as he risked it all trying to run on the slippery surface! This chilly morning hike was one to remember this Christmas Eve!
Every Christmas for the last couple of years, we have started a tradition of playing disc golf! This year, we kept that tradition going at one of the coolest and strangest disc golf courses we have ever played at!
Playing on the top of a bluff, this course was full of desert brush, sand, rock scrambling, and epic views!
16 degrees and the clearest bright blue skies, it was an amazing Christmas morning full of sunshine and windburns!
I am serious, these pictures just don’t do this course justice!!
Just look at Watson’s face… His face says it all! This course was spectacular!
As I head into Week 3, I feel like I have more plans than I have time to complete them! I am already excited about next weeks hike and the weekend can’t come soon enough!!
Keep following along, every Sunday, as I continue my crazy amazing Travel Nurse adventures here in Farmington, New Mexico!
