The end has finally come. It has been 13 weeks of one adventure after another and I wouldn’t trade anything for the time I have had here in Farmington, New Mexico!
From one hidden treasure to the next, this sacred land is hiding the most beautiful secrets. My Parents made the journey all the way from Texas to share this final week with me in The Land of Enchantment!
And just like how this adventure started 13 weeks ago, the snow and cold decided to return one last time for a New Mexico farewell.
Despite the bitter cold, we were able to return to and enjoy one last day in the Ah-shi-sle-pah Wilderness and the Toadstool Forest.
Contract #5 and Northwestern New Mexico will always hold the fondest of memories and be one of the greatest chapters in this Travel Nurse Adventure that I am on!
So, you may be wondering what is next for me. The truth is, that I had signed an extension to return to Farmington for another 13 week contract starting in early April but things have changed. I decided to cancel my extension after much consideration due to issues I witnessed and fell victim to with a locum physician. I will not share details but I no longer felt as if I could do my job to the best of my abilities without repercussions both mentally and professionally from this person. The decision to remove myself from a potentially serious situation was the right one for me to make at this time. And so, I am heading home for a little R&R! My next adventure will just have to wait for now, but I’m sure it will find me soon enough!
Keep following along as I resume my life back home in The Barn! RV Life doesn’t stop, I only change my location!
