Over the last 3 years of living full time in an RV, we have done countless repairs and upgrades. Some more important than others, but I have learned that even the smallest improvements you can make to an RV make a huge difference!
The ReImagine door window is completely clear! No frosting, no tinting, just straight clear glass.
I had gotten use to the heavily frosted glass in The Imagine and have found that I miss the privacy it provided. Living in an RV park is so different from living in The Barn! Neighbors are so close in RV parks and with a window that is always in full view of anyone walking or driving by, I felt like I had no privacy! Not to mention the awful glare on the TV that is caused by the setting sun every evening.
The ReImagine, a 2022 Grand Design Solitude S class 2930 RL-R, came prepped for a solution… They clearly knew that this is a problem that RVers wanted a solution for!
The door window is “Thin Shade Ready”, meaning that it was built with everything you needed to simply add a window shade. After finding the The Thin Shade on amazon, I decided to order it and test it out.
Instillation literally includes you opening the 4 tiny levers… hold the top of shade in place and close top levers… hold bottom of shade in place and close bottom levers… DONE.
Easiest RV upgrade EVER!!
Most RV upgrades are daunting and frustrating because of trying to do something while only having a few inches of space to work in…. This upgrade was simple and effective!
Now, the downside to this product….
- you can not adjust height of shade when door is closed (screen door blocks it)
- costly! for something so simple, you are paying for the convenience of the product.
In the end, though, it was a simple fix to a problem! More RV upgrades to come!
