Where do I even begin?
With a huge storm headed our way, we decided to head out early in search of a waterfall before the rain came.
Spearfish Canyon in the Black Hills of South Dakota was way more than I expected!
While heading to our trailhead, Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway decided to surprise us with a roadside view!
Although hard to see due to the thick foliage, the glimpse we got of Bridal Vail Falls was nothing less than beautiful!
Once we reached the trail to Roughlock Falls, we followed the creek through the canyon that led us straight to the most beautiful waterfall I have ever seen!
There is no way to describe it except Fairy Oasis. I have never seen a waterfall so lush and vibrant with the clearest water I have ever seen. Pictures really do not do it justice!
I have hiked and stood before countless of waterfalls, but Roughlock Falls is by far my most favorite!
Hiking back through the canyon, we were greeted by a local who wasn’t afraid to share the trail.
Two waterfalls under our belt, and yet, one more was yet to come!
Just around the corner was another beautiful trail that led to yet another unreal waterfall!
Spearfish Falls was way too perfect.
I am clearly in another world here.
With the storms headed our way, I would have never expected such a perfect morning!
