Good Morning! It has been a couple days and a few things have happened.
After being told the Nebraska contract was already filled, it took a few days for another location to pop up that looked promising! The pay package wasn’t great but the location was very interesting- Virginia!! With Fall colors coming and tons of hiking in that region, I was immediately intrigued! Unfortunately, I was unable to find an RV park with availability for the length of the contract and had to decline the interview. To be honest, I have never had luck with East Coast locations! Many parks either don’t offer monthly stays, they are already fully booked years in advance, or they close down in the winter. With this potential next contract lasting until Mid-December, there was NOTHING available within a 1hr drive of the hospital.
Moving on to the next option. Monday afternoon, my recruiter sent me a newly posted option to consider. It wasn’t a state that I would usually consider but the city population is under 100k (which y’all now know is a huge factor for me) and the cost of living vs pay is promising! I have also already been able to put an RV site on hold that is only 2.5 miles from the hospital!! So, now I am waiting for a phone call from the hiring manager! Fingers crossed I get the call and am awarded this contract!
Keep following along as I take you through Contract #8 one step at a time!
