I made it!! Its finally time to get Contract #8 started! First days on a new contract can very greatly depending on the hospital. This hospital had a full day of ”Hospital Orientation” that covered my Rhythms test and some required online modules. I also had to do a few check-offs for restraints, glucose monitors, and patient lift devices.
The rhythms test was the easiest one I have every taken and I breezed through it without any difficulty!
To my complete surprise, I will be spending my second day in a classroom as well! I have a full day tomorrow of Cerner EMR training and a few more skills checkoffs. I have yet to even see my department and from the way it sounds, I won’t be stepping foot in Endoscopy until Wednesday. This is very different from my usual experience with other hospitals with having 2 days of hospital orientation!
