Update time!! I can’t believe a month has already passed since my last blog post and that I never got around to posting about my most recent trip. The weekend after Chris and I returned home from Cleburne State park, we hitched up again and headed to Martin’s Creek Lake State Park for another 3 day weekend!
My parents had just bought an RV and we did a short “Shake Down” trip to work out the kinks! It was a really fun trip at another beautiful Texas State Park! The weather was chilly but the sun was so warm and made my days spent in the hammock absolutely perfect!!
After that trip, I have been hanging low at The Barn dreaming of warmer days and those days are finally here!! In the last month, I have completed a few projects around The Barn and helped my dad out with a bathroom remodel he has been doing at the farm house. Other than that, I have been planning and scheduling trips to keep our summer busy with travel and adventures!
Since Chris is still working, our travel style is still not “full-time” but a week here and a week there with a few long weekends in between has allowed me to book multiple trips that will take us from central Texas to the beaches of South Carolina!! Throw a few disc golf tournaments in the mix and our summer is jam packed!!
My next disc golf tournament is actually in just a few weeks and this time, we will be taking our home-on-wheels with us! A long weekend getaway before our next disc golf challenge is a fun way for us to spend time together.
But, before all that excitement starts… I have some even bigger news!!
I’m headed back to school!!
I have officially enrolled in RV Technician school and will start next week.
Although I renewed my nursing licenses and continue to meet requirements with continuing education for them, after almost a year of not working as a nurse, I continue to have no interest in returning to the field. This has been a struggle for me because I continue to feel guilt for not working in a field I have spend half of my life working towards or working in! It’s difficult to walk away from something you know even though you know it’s not good for you! So, in the future, if all else fails, I will always have nursing as an option and I will continue to keep up with my licenses, but this is the official start to something new. I dread the idea of going back to school, but I accept the challenge it will bring. Learning, no matter the subject, is something I do enjoy… just not at 0630. LOL.
Keep following along as I pack up my house and head to school! I’ll keep you posted on RV tech school life and all the adventures and discoveries I make along the way! Not to mention my upcoming trips and tournaments!!
